E.D.H. "Bill" Berry was called home to the Lord on April 28, 2013. Born in Washington, D.C., in 1928, then the family moved to Asheville, NC.
At age fifteen he entered North Carolina State University where he spent two years before entering the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. Graduating in 1950, he was commissioned in the United States Army and spent the next twenty-eight years serving in the Corps of Engineers. During that period, Bill fought in both the Korean and Vietnamese Wars as well as earning a Master of Science from the University of Illinois. After he retired from active duty, he worked as a Civil Engineer in Louisiana, at the University of Texas at Austin, and for Travis County.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of sixty years Trema; his son Bill and his wife Karen, his son David and his wife Joyce; granddaughter Lisa.
He was a member of the Tarrytown United Methodist Church in Austin.
