Teresa was a kind, fun-loving and vibrant lady who always wished the best for those around her. She’ll be fondly remembered for her quick smile and cheery nature.
Teresa grew up in west-end Toronto, the daughter of Clarence (aka Sam) and Mildred Goldsmith. As a young adult, she worked at the railway and the bank, and enjoyed music and travel with her friends. She fondly remembered train trips out west and to New York City for her entire life. After marrying, she raised her family in Etobicoke and was a generous and patient mom.
Throughout her life, Teresa remained a fan of crossword puzzles and mystery novels. She maintained a sharp memory and a quick recall of directions to most any destination.
Maybe it was the occasional glass of beer, the ever-present cup of tea, or the fact she finally quit smoking in her 70s – Teresa herself often expressed amazement at her longevity. Whatever her secret, her friends and family were blessed to have so much time with such a warm and friendly soul.
Teresa was predeceased by her husband John and her granddaughter Ali. Lovingly remembered by her children Lori (Guy), Diane (Jim) and John (Jane), and by her surviving grandchildren Shane, Justin, Meg, Rachel, John, Amanda and Teresa. Dear sister to Mabel, and predeceased by siblings Bud, Paul, Joan and Andrea.
