MARGARET (PEGGY) FAIRY (Née LAMONT) The Fairy family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Margaret (Peggy) Fairy in her 91st year, surrounded by her loving family on June 27, 2021. Predeceased by her loving husband John (Jack) Fairy and daughter Susan (LeRoy) and her parents Harry and Eileen Lamont (Aiken). Peggy is survived by beloved children, John, Kathryn (Dan Kennedy), Janet (Ted Fisher), Robert (Kelly Braendel) and son-in-law Jerry LeRoy. Proud Nana of Darren (Julianne), Jake, Shannon (Kevin), Katie (Dan), Shane (Jackie), Mark and Cole and loving Great Nana to Raelynn, Allie and Logan. Dear sister of Bunty (Sibbald) and family and dear sister-in-law of Edith (Gray) and family. After Jack and Peggy were married, they moved to Thornhill where they raised their big family and the family business evolved with their 2 sons into John Fairy Contractors Ltd. In 1987 they moved to their beautiful property in King City. Peggy was a devoted Mom and Nana to all the kids, hosting every Christmas and many, many family events at their King City property. Peggy enjoyed the time spent at their cottage the "Bolger Hilton" in Parry Sound. She was the talk of the lake with her always coordinated outfits, a class act all the way. Peggy was proud of her long lasting friendships with neighbours from Thornhill that resulted in a Bridge Club that spanned over 60 years! Peggy is also survived by her life long, dear friend, Eleanor Forbes (Mason) of California. While many miles separated them for decades, both families were always close and part of each other’s lives. Peggy was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Private cremation has taken place and at Peggy’s request, there will be no funeral. A private family get together will be held to celebrate her and a life well lived. If desired, donations may be made to the Cancer Society, Juvenile Diabetes Association of Canada or a charity of your choice.
