No doubt, Jim was by far the best and most efficient  manufacturers sales representative that ever called on me in the 30 years I was in business !

Jim and I worked together at Maytag Canada for many years. He was a wonderful leader and manager. He mixed humor and intelligence in his work better than anyone. He knew how to motivate people and get the best results. Everyone wanted to be on his team including me. I feel I've lost my best Canadian friend with Jim's passing. I already miss him and the good times we had over the years we worked together. Rest in peace, Jim.

Thank you for sharing those wonderful photos. They provide a good insight into who he was. My encounter with Jim was brief. He kindly took time to teach me some billiard moves at the Aurora Senior Centre one day last summer. I'll never forget his sense of humor, his smile and his patience that day and was looking forward to meeting him again. My sincerest condolences on your loss.

I am so pleased I was able to spend a couple of hours chatting with Jim one afternoon last
month over at Holland View Trail. Nothing serious of course, just the usual joking around and planning a game of pool (my first in 60 Years). Jim was such an inspiration in my life over the past ten 
years. I followed in his footsteps as Treasurer, VP and President of the Probus Club of Aurora and tried my best to maintain his infectious smile and his wonderful sense of humour.
I will miss him.

We only knew Jim a short time but he was at the helm of Probus and guided us into joining.

I will remember Mr. Liddy fondly and I'm so glad I was able to see him this past summer. My sympathies and love to you all.

So many fond memories of Mr. Liddy and YES after all these years I still call Denise's dad 'Mr. Liddy'.  Hanging out at the Liddy's after school, cottage weekends, Denise's wedding are just a few memories.  One that is still with me is the time when on the eve of back-to-school, Denise zigged when she should have zagged and we crashed the green hornet (aka Mrs. Liddy's car!).  We made it home and sought out Mr. Liddy, whose ONLY concern was that we were OK.  No lecture (well, maybe a bit) and no trip to the wood shed!  Jim loved and was loved by all and will be missed. With great sadness we hear about Jim's passing. During his retirement Jim gave much of his time to the Probus Club of Aurora where he was Treasurer for many years and as President. Jim played bridge in the "K" Bridge Couples Club of Aurora. Jim played pool on the largest table possible with a high degree of skill. Jim always had a smile on his face and a kind word for everyone.

I will always treasure my memories of Jim.  What a smart, funny (and fun!), warm and kind man he was, is clearly reflected in his amazing family that he loved so much. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
