I send my sincerest condolences to the extended MacDonald family. I spent some time at your home with Graham. You mother was a major influence on my desire to work out and develop large biceps like your mom. It became an expectation to have her flex for me when I came over. Your mom always made it clear that muscles came from honest work. I never forgot that! A very special lady.

Our family was also blessed to have Eileen as a caregiver of our two children who were the age of almost 1 and almost 5 years -we were fortunate to have her  for about 3 years.   Eileen was in her seventies at the time and was always very energetic and loving,  She was like another grandmother to my children.  We loved to hear about her own children and grandchildren of whom she was very proud and she spoke very fondly about her husband who had passed away. Unfortunately, my husband's job required us to move away and I told my husband that one of my cons about moving so far away was that we would lose having Eileen!! And I truly meant it.  For many years, we continued to correspond and when we were back in town, we went to visit Eileen in her beautiful condo.  She had kept all of my children's drawings and letters from over the years,  my children were in their late teens then -and were so touched.  Eileen is fondly remembered and missed by Pat, Mike , Stephanie and Andrew.  PS I still have a beautiful crocheted blanket that she made for us -she was a very talented at crocheting, 

Dear Family of Eileen,
Our condolences on the loss of an amazing woman.  Eileen babysat my 3 boys in the 1990’s (she started when she was 71!!) and they (now in their 20’s and 30’s) have such fond memories of her.  She would walk from her house (& later her condo) to our house, care for the boys, play Lego and board games with them, do the laundry, and clean our house to boot!  The boys remember how she cut up their apples so small, made them “alphabits” (Alphagetti) and warmed up their dinosaur blanket in the dryer to make it cozy.  So many wonderful memories.

Dear Family of Eileen,
WOW she certainly had a long happy life. I met Eileen in the 90’s when I was living in the  condo on Yonge. She was a lovely person. I had a dog and she always loved to see it.

Mrs. MacDonald was a remarkable, loving woman with a radiant warm smile.  She was an inspiration to all of us, both young and old, and will always be remembered, loved and missed by so many.

The BEST Nana, ever, bar none, forever and always.  She loved, encouraged and supported us beyond measure.  She was funny, mischievous, wise and kind. She was generous with her love, taught me that women are strong and can do anything for themselves,  that family means everything and we always have each other's back. Thank you Nana, for your major part in making me the person I am today. 

To Eileen’s family, 
So, so sorry to hear of your Moms passing. I was so looking forward to seeing her at her 102nd birthday party and meeting all of her wonderful family.  No matter how long it had been since I talked to her she always remembered us and was so interested in all we were doing. She would give me a call on occasion just to catch up.  She and Mom (Annie) were cousins and were close up until the day Mom died.   Unfortunately I will be unable to attend her funeral due to prior commitments but you will be in my thoughts and heart at this sad time.  Love to all,  Nancy (Seymour) and Jack Tuomi
