Charlie passed away, in his 89th year, surrounded by his family and knowing how much he was loved. He leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Audrey (nee Oake). He was predeceased by three sons; Mark (1965), Kevin (2001) and Randy (2010). He is survived by his children; Tracy and Fraser (Closs), Chris and Donna (nee Graham), and Lynn and Chris (Romanin). Gpa or Gramps as he was known to his 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He lived a good life and he had so much to be proud of. Good values, good heart, strong, tough as nails and yet gentle and loving too. His love for his family was ever present and strong and we thank him. Charlie worked for Bell Canada for over 38 years and he was a member of the King City Lions Club for 30 years. He was an athlete and played on many lacrosse teams, he was very proud to have been a long time member of the Green Gael Lacrosse Club and was named an up and coming star in the then Toronto Telegram. He loved and played hockey in Toronto and King City for as well as coaching hockey in King City for many years. He dabbled in baseball and was a member of local bowling leagues. A medical emergency 5 ½ years ago required him to have dialysis three times a week. He fought strong and hard to meet the ongoing challenges that came his way, he fought right to the end. We are so proud of you Dad, rest in peace, you certainly deserve it.
