Anne Christine Warner

Anne Christine Warner of King City, Ontario passed away peacefully on Friday March 21, 2025. Anne Warner (nee Prendiville) was the youngest daughter of 11 siblings. She was born on a dairy farm in Castleisland, County Kerry, Ireland. On her own, she bravely traveled and immigrated to Canada in January, 1959. She later met and married her beloved, Victor Charles Warner. Anne and Victor enjoyed 63 years of marriage before his passing in April, 2024.

Anne, is survived by her son Raymond (Cynthia) of Bracebridge, daughter Christine (Morrice) of King City, son William (Elisabetta) of King City and daughter Irene (Dave) of Ottawa. Anne was the loving and proud Momma to her grandchildren Gregory, Sean, Patrick, Chantelle, Emily and Andrew. Anne is fondly remembered by her many Nieces and Nephews in Ireland.

Anne will be remembered as an extremely giving lady. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother. After caring for and raising her children, she gave endless hours of her time to many different charities close to her heart. She was a Meals on Wheels driver, a school and York Finch Hospital volunteer as well as a long time member including President of her local Catholic Women’s League. As passionate as she was about helping others, Anne’s pride and joy was her family.

Anne and her children spent many happy summers up at the cottage on Spring Lake. Vic would join them on weekends and summer vacation. She was a great competitor at bowling, Euchre and Carpet Bowling in later years. Anne participated and won many events in the seniors olympics, including speed walking and a gold medal in Horseshoes. She loved her walks and staying active and made many friends at the King City Seniors Club.

Anne was a person who always had the biggest and most genuine smile. She was blessed with a sharp whit and an Irish sense of humour. She always had a twinkle in her eye. She enjoyed laughing and dancing and was the first to tap her toes to an Irish tune. For a little lady, she was famous for her warm and hearty “momma” hugs.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Kristus Darzs Latvian Home for their excellent care, compassion and kindness.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, March 31, 2025 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, 14485 Jane Street, King Street, with a reception to follow.
