Ginger passed peacefully, with her husband and friend by her side, at Life Care Center of Aurora, Colorado on Tuesday July 8th,2014. She battled heart disease for much of her later life but a recent fall that resulted in surgery bore too much for her to overcome.
She was born December 22nd, 1929 in King City, California to Charles and Irene D Lewis. She was raised in Monterey County and attended Gonzales H.S. and then Hartnell Junior College. Ginger married Joe Hembree and had a daughter, Charlene (Charlie) in April 1953. It wasn’t until after the dissolving of this marriage did the love story of Nate and Ginger began and September 30th, 1954 they were wed. High School and College friends then later making a family and adding another daughter, Darlene (Mercy) in January 1962. Before they married Nate had entered the Navy and Ginger was a committed wife and mother to the life that all entails, keeping the family in balanced harmony for his 20 years of service. She lived her life making life beautiful. Her passions were growing and arranging flowers, entertaining, decorating her home, paying it forward to her friends and community and making anything old look brand new again. She is dearly loved and missed by many and now a beautiful angel to our heavenly Father.
She is survived by her husband, Elnathan H (Nate) Williams. Her daughters, Charlene M. (Charlie) Furlough and Darlene M. (Mercy) Hoover. Son-in-Law (husband to Mercy), Jerry M. Hoover. Grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Williams and Jacklyn Marie Hoover. Step Grandchildren, Kristina M Hoover and Mellissa L Addleman and perspective families. Great Grandchild, Kenneth R Haynes. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Irene D Lewis, Step Grandchild, David M Hoover and Great grandchild, Nathan C Williams.

A private family service will be held at Ft. Logan National Cemetery and a reception to follow at the Hillcrest Village Clubhouse: 1600 Sable Blvd., Aurora, CO, 80011 @ 1:00pm for those who want to pay their respects and fellowship with the family and celebrate a wonderful life of a wonderful woman. If you wish to give the gift of flowers please direct them to Advantage Aurora Chase Chapel Mortuary deliverable no later than 8:00am the day of services, July 24th, 2014.
