Gloria Imogene Bacon

Gloria Imogene Bacon was born in Oklahoma to Edward and Wellene Cole on September 29, 1939. Gloria spent her entire life in her beloved home of Oklahoma, but there was an allure of Colorado, and finally in July of 2012 Gloria and her daughter could no longer contain that allure and they moved to Aurora, CO.

During her life in Oklahoma, Gloria worked at a day care facility, helping teach children who had been in abusive situations or who were mentally challenged. She loved her career, because the level of growth in these children was just astounding to watch. She genuinly enjoyed hanging out with her family, and when she was ready to relax, Gloria picked up a book. She will be fondly remembered for those traits.

Gloria is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Dorothy, Nancy, and just recently Billy; and her husband, George. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy; siblings, Charles and Sammy; many extended family members and friends.

Gloria Imogene passed away on October 13, 2022 at the age of 83 in her much adored Colorado. She will be laid to rest at a later time, next to her husband in Oklahoma.
