Carol Ann Miller was born in the Bronx, NY on October 15, 1938. She was one of five children born to Ray and Susan. Carol had a great childhood in New York. Her dad would take her into New York City to see different shows, and she and her life long friend Ruth HIrschfield loved to hang out together. Carol and Ruth have been friends since elementary school.
When Carol came to Colorado and was in Court Administration with the City of Aurora. She loved her work. Carol retired from the City of Aurora after 22 years in 1997. After retirement she loved being around family and friends, especially her good friend Pat Smith, who she met at Heather Gardens. She was vivacious all through her life. Her children remember mom as loving yet firm. She only wanted us to do good in life. She loved us, even if we messed up. She had no filter, and spoke her mind freely. They can all clearly hear her saying her favorite sayings, which were “ Whatever! “ and “ There’s no question!“
Carol love grabbing coffee with her friends, watching the Broncos and the Avs play, and reading. Most of all she loved hanging out with her granddaughters. She will be deeply missed by her children, Geoff Staton, Jonathan (Gina) Staton, and Meridith Staton; granddaughters, Oralia Mae Staton and Alexandra Sofia Staton; brother, Michael Miller; and friends, Ruth Hirschfield and Pat Smith, as well as many extended family members and friends.
