Mrs. Margaret “Peggy” Louise Vande-Stouwe was born on December 3, 1951 and entered into rest Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at her home in Aiken, South Carolina. A native of West Hempstead, New York, Peggy met her husband while living on Long Island. After starting a family together, they moved to Chapin, South Carolina, where she continued her career in nursing and created lasting memories with her husband and children on Lake Murray. After retiring, Peggy spent time enjoying the beauty of Tucson, Arizona before moving back and calling South Carolina home once again.
Peggy was an incredible daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. Her love of people and life was contagious, and she shared her happiness and humor with each person she encountered.

She earned her nursing degree in 1972 from Lenox Hill Hospital School of Nursing and spent many years taking care of others. In addition to dedicating her time to her family and career, Peggy also enjoyed sports. Not only did she follow the sports her children played, but also she learned the ins and outs of various sports and played in her free time. Volleyball, badminton, and tennis were are few of the sports she enjoyed. Peggy loved music as well. Whether at home on her tablet or in the car with the volume turned up, she enjoyed singing along to a variety of songs.
