Ms. Jamelda Alethia Campbell, 44, of Coal Creek Drive, Graniteville, SC entered into rest Monday, March 3, 2025, at Aiken Regional Hospital. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she was an active member who loved her church tremendously. As a native of Augusta, GA, she received her education from the Richmond County School System and was a proud graduate of Thomas Walter Josey Comprehensive High School, Class of 1998. Jamelda was currently employed with Augusta Public Transit where she found much joy helping the citizens of Augusta-Richmond County.
Jamelda leaves to cherish loving memories: her parents, Harold and Patrice Campbell, her brother Cordero (Jaslynn), two nieces and two nephews; Kailynn, Isaiah, Jashad, and Camille, four godchildren: De’Montrez, Quintavious, Javonte’, and Jasmine, one godsister, Kalisa, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, church family and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA, 30906. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 2526 Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA, 30906 Rev. Chavas Boyd, Pastor. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Road, Augusta, GA, 30906.
