Jackie Eugene Pitts was born in Augusta, Georgia to Ruth Myers and Jackson Pitts on February 2, 1942. He was married Patricia Ford Pitts. He worked as an Electrician until his retirement.

Jackie Eugene Pitts is survived by his spouse, Patricia Ford Pitts; his children, Joshua E. Pitts, Joseph H. Brown, and April G. West; grandchildren, Haley Bickford, David Bickford, Madison Williams, Maggie Brown, and McKenna Pitts and great-grandchildren, Karson Mims and Koda Lariscey.
