Henry Leal

Henry Marzan Leal, age 58, died in his home in Augusta, GA on November 12, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Guam on August 21, 1963 and moved to California during his teen years to attend Mount Eden High School in Hayward. He eventually moved to Augusta, Georgia at the age of 22 where he lived the remainder of his adult life and 37 years of marriage with his one true love, Nora. He worked for 28 years at ECRH in Augusta before retiring in 2016.

Henry was an avid bowler and fisherman, often taking visiting relatives to nearby bowling alleys or on weekend trips to his favorite fishing spots. He loved to sing and dance and was frequently the life of a party. He is survived by his wife, Nora, their son, Daryl, grandson, Egypt, and siblings, Romeo, Benjamin, Francisco, Bernardita, Constante, and Wilma. He is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Venancio and Candida.

Final viewing and memorial services in Augusta, GA will be from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, November 19 at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 2524 Lumpkin Rd. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Rd on Saturday, November 20 at 11 a.m. before he is laid to rest around noon at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2700 Deans Bridge Rd. A reception will follow at Great Chow China Buffet located at 3435 Wrightsboro Rd. Gifts and flowers may be sent to the family at 2541 E. Kensington Dr, Augusta, GA 30906.
