Bobby Mayfield

Bobby is survived by his father Bob Mayfield and step-mother Brenda Mayfield of Weaver, AL; his wife, Michelle (Scrum) Mayfield, his beloved daughters Ali and Hannah Mayfield; his sister Angie Mayfield and his two brothers Ken Lunde of North Augusta, SC and Jason Mayfield of Weaver, AL. and several nieces and nephews that he adored. He is predeceased by his mother, Sandra (Burns) Jones

Bobby was born in Augusta on April 12, 1971. He worked in the construction and remodeling industry for over 20 years. He was highly skilled in many trades, specializing in carpentry and ceramic tile. His talents with tile design and installation led to him starting his business R & M Tile.

Bobby met his wife Michelle when they were both 12 years old in 7th grade. There was only a 3 year period between the ages of 12 to 18 they weren’t dating, even during that time they remained best friends. When they were18, they had not seen each other for a couple of years. Bobby decided to visit Michelle at work to say hello. From the moment they saw each other again they instantly fell in love with each other again and remained in love with each other for the next 25 years. They married on July 11, 1992. Their love for each other was immeasurable and their bond and commitment to each other unbreakable. They were truly soul mates.

Bobby and Michelle had two daughters, Ali who was born in 1993 and Hannah who was born in 2000. His daughters were his world. He deeply loved both of them. He was extremely proud of his girls. They shared a love of art and music. They were often found discussing renaissance art masters with Metallica blasting out of the speakers.

Visitation will be from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Elliott Sons funeral home 2524 Lumpkin Road Augusta, GA, 30906. Services celebrating his life will be on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. with burial at Hillcrest. The family would like for friends to join them at the American Legion Post #178 on Richmond Hill Rd.
