Albert Norvell "Skeete" Freeman

Albert Norvell “Skeete” Freeman “be passed away” on September 1, 2018. Skeete was born on January 9, 1957 in Augusta, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peggy Davidson Duvall and Charles Freeman Jr., MD. He is survived by his brothers Charles Freeman III, Davidson L. Freeman, MD (Gwen) and many nieces and nephews.

Skeete had an amazing and wonderful life and he touched many lives in ways only someone as special as he was could do. He loved everyone he met and made lifelong friends instantly. Where ever Skeete was around town someone always recognized him, and he greeted them with a smile and a hug. He attended Lynndale, Inc. for over 46 years and was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church. He was a participant in the Special Olympics and the Ambuc’s Bowling Tournaments for many years. Skeete loved the Georgia Bulldogs and was almost always dressed in red.

The family is especially grateful to the staff at Lynndale Inc., Amara Healthcare, Ms. Carrie Brown and Georgianne “GeeGee” Singh who all had a hand in guiding and caring for Skeete.

A memorial service will be held at Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2261 Walton Way, Augusta, Georgia 30904 on Thursday September 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with Dr. Matt Rich officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall after the service.

In lieu of flowers, if so desired, the family requests that donations be made in memory of Skeete to Lynndale, Inc, 1490 Eisenhower Drive, Augusta, Georgia 30904 or to Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, 2261 Walton Way, Augusta, Georgia 30904.
