Wanda Diane Smith Perez was called home by her Heavenly Father on June 19, 2023 after a long, hard, courageous battle with several illnesses. She was born in Auburndale on October 2, 1955 and graduated form Haines City High School in 1973.
Wanda loved her Lord, always being there for others in need, beaches, lakes, flowers, and reading, but most of all she loved her family first, especially her grandkids.
She was very proud of her business, Wanda's Collectables, which she was retired from. She loved her customers and loved shopping for merchandise to make everyone happy with their purchase. You could always find her resting, playing, and working barefoot. She did not like shoes, a true Floridian at heart.
She will be remembered with kindness, generosity, and love of all things beautiful.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest James Smith and Minnie Smith, beloved son Jesus, sisters Patricia Rutledge, Lora Elizabeth, and Hanna Faye. She is survived by her husband, Otilio Perez, son, James Struthers (Heather); grandkids, Jay (Kaitlyn), Brielle, and Leland; great grandkids Bella and Brayden; brothers Earl Smith, Joseph Smith, and sisters, Marie Palmieri (Enrico), Joan LaSouie, Barbara Dennis (Emmett), and Sheila Noe, and many other family members and friends.
