Magaly R Villegas

Magaly R. Villegas, 84, of Lakeland, Florida, entered into rest on October 18, 2024. Born on October 13, 1940 in Cuba, Magaly was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She spent 40 cherished years married to her late husband, Juan. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and laughter.

Magaly had a deep passion for cooking, and her greatest joy came from preparing favorite meals for her immediate and extended family. She adored her only grandchild, Emily Mejia, and took immense pride in watching her grow. Magaly loved spending time with Emily, creating memories that will be treasured forever. In her free time, she loved to unwind by watching Spanish novelas.

Magaly is survived by her loving daughters Deisy Mejia (Richard), and Dania Sasso, granddaughter Emily Mejia (Matthew Pannell), and one brother in Cuba, Armando Hernandez. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Villegas, parents Mariana Hernandez Lozada and Manuel Hernandez, son in law, Frank Sasso, and siblings Esperanza Batista, Idalia Fernandez, Leonor Parra, Bertha Gisbert, Delfina Maestre, Jose Paz Sr., and Luis Paz Sr.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Saint Anthony Catholic Church, 820 Marcum Road, Lakeland, Florida 33809.
