Palm Beach FL – Peter J. Theriault, 56 of Camden, died suddenly on Wednesday March2nd at the Delray Medical Center. He was born in Portland, on October 21, 1954, the son of Joseph and Frances Armentino Theriault. He grew up in Freeport, attending local schools and graduating from Freeport High School in 1973. Peter moved to Camden over 20 years ago, and made his home and business there.
Peter was an Independent Gemologist-Jewelry Appraiser and a Watchmaker. He was a nationally recognized author and lecturer with over 25 years in the trade. Peter was educated in personal property evaluation at the University of Indiana, and holds Gemological degrees from the United States and Great Britain. He also holds several certifications from the American Gemological Society and the Gemological Institute of America. Peter was the owner of Northeast Gemlabs, Inc. and The Watch Repair Center, both in Camden. Peter was an accomplished musician and a participant with the local Christian Science Church and Reading Room in Camden.
He is survived by a sister Susan Stacey, and her husband Thomas of Turner; a brother Mark and his wife Terry of Sumner; an Aunt Gloria Mallet of Portland, a nephew Anthony Theriault of Bath; his friend Nancy Owens, and many cousins, friends, and professional colleagues.
