Our precious Wife, Mother, Sister and friend, Lucille J. Ouellette (68) of Lewiston, Maine has gone home to be with the Lord. She passed away after a courageous fight with cancer with her beloved husband, Ernest, by her side on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at CMMC. Born in Lewiston, Maine on March 14th, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Normand L. & the late Carmel (Couture) Theberge. Her siblings, are Nathalie (Theberge) Scribner & spouse, James of Lewiston, ME, Roger P. Theberge & spouse, Kathrin (MacFarland) Theberge of Hallowell, ME, Jane Theberge & spouse Maurice Roundy of Florida, Daniel N. Theberge & spouse Pamela Theberge of Casco ME, & Ann Margaret (Theberge) Frederickson & spouse, Joseph of Gardiner, ME.
Lucille attended Auburn schools, and graduated from Edward Little High School. Lucille worked for Home Care when she met the love of her life, Ernest Ouellette. She went to work for St. Mary’s Hospital /D’Youville where she worked in the food/hospitality department delivering food to patients. Lucille later went on to continue her career receiving a certificate as a CNA and a Memory Care Specialist. Lucille took great pride in her work, and took extra special care of her patients. Lucille retired from D’Youville in 2018.
Lucille is survived by her loving husband, Ernest J. Ouellette of Lewiston, ME and her children, Steven Traweek, and his wife, Cher (Hernandez), of Westbrook, ME and Daniel Ouellette of Auburn, ME. She was blessed to have many stepchildren, who she loved like her own, Cary-Ann (Ouellette) Guay and husband, Andrew, of New Gloucester, ME, Ernie Lacombe, and wife, Vicky (Thibodeau), of Monmouth, ME, Glen Ouellette and wife, Stephanie (Jalbert), of Auburn, ME, Anna (Ouellette) Arbour and husband, Darrell, of Lisbon, ME, and James Ouellette, and wife, Julie (Lane), of Foxboro, MA.
Lucille also leaves behind twenty-two grandchildren, and seventeen great grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
She was predeceased by her son, Brian Traweek, and her parents Normand and Carmel Theberge.
Lucille attended His Church in Oxford, Maine, and had previously attended Eastgate Christian Fellowship in New Gloucester, Maine for over 30 years.
Lucille was a faithful daughter of our Lord, Jesus Christ, and took sharing that love with her family and friends very seriously. She adored spending time with her family. Seeing and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren was a huge blessing to her. She loved to sit on the porch with her beloved husband and watch the birds and enjoy the sounds of nature.
She will be missed by her family and her many, many friends and coworkers.
The family would like to thank the staff on T3 at CMMC, especially Dr. Teirney for providing the best care to Lucille. A special thank you to Julia for being so patient and kind to our family.
Memorial Services will be held at Fortin Funeral home in Auburn, ME on Monday, December 13th from 3-7 pm with a burial service at Oak Hill Cemetery, 7th Street, Auburn, ME on Tuesday, December 14th at 11:30 am
