Auburn- Amy Elizabeth Kern, 62, of Grandview Ave., died Friday, March 14, at her home. She was born in Lewiston on July 3, 1951, a daughter of John and Dorothy (Foster) Kern, Jr. She was educated in Auburn schools and attended the Social Learning Center in Lewiston for 40 years. Amy was a member of the High Street Congregational Church in Auburn. She enjoyed reading, music, dancing, jigsaw puzzles, shopping, bowling and fishing. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Foster Kern of Auburn; three sisters, Allison Rosenblatt and husband Jeffrey of Albany Township, Nancy Haley and husband Mark of Belmont, MA and Barbara Kern of Augusta; a sister-in-law Pamela Kern of New Gloucester; eight nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her father, John Kern Jr. and a brother, Peter Kern. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, at the High Street Congregational Church at 4 PM. Burial will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn in the spring.
