Pieter Kealoha Priestley

Beloved father of Kathy (Mike) Gyger, James Priestley, Shaleen Priestley, Pieter (Jan) Priestley, and Tiffany Kate; loving grandfather of Scott (Tiffany) Spivey, James Spivey, Megan Spivey, Alexa Kruszewski, and Jon Gyger; great-grandchildren JR Spivey, Hank Spivey, and Bentley Johnson; brother of Jon Priestley, Howard (Sharon) Priestley, Karlette Chilton, Char’les (Mike) Rehmert, brother-in-law Lloyd Rymar and sister-in-law Shonna Rymar. Pieter was predeceased by his wife Marian, his parents Howard and Piikea (Keala) Priestley, and his brother-in-law Cliff Chilton.

Pieter was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 7, 1956. He graduated high school in Corbin, Kentucky and married Marian Rymar in Rochester, Michigan on August 27, 1977.

Pieter was a dedicated Husband and father who loved to hunt, fish and be outdoors. As a result of his unrivaled work ethic he became a respected member of the Operating Engineers Local 324 family who served as a mentor and role model.

Pieter’s family will welcome all to a memorial gathering on Saturday September 15th, 2018 from 1 to 3pm with a sharing of memories service at 3pm at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 3530 Auburn Rd in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
