Dave was born the son of James and Kathryn (Tait) Leitch in Pontiac, Michigan on December 27, 1956. He graduated from Avondale High School in Auburn Heights, class of 1975 and earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University. Dave had a career as a commercial and industrial real estate broker for many years, including his own company Land One. He was also a journeyman electrician. He married Christine (Tina) D’Agostino on August 12, 1994 at St. Dennis Catholic Church in Royal Oak, Michigan.
Dave loved helping people. He was always the problem solver and connected with so many people in the neighborhood and community. Dave’s energy was endless. He was the standard bearer for many things including the yard and home he kept meticulously.
Dave is survived by his loving wife Tina Leitch; Son Nicholas David Leitch and daughter Gina Francesca Leitch; siblings Jerry Leitch (Diane) and Gayle Davis (Jonas); mother-in-law Jaclyn D’Agostino (Ernie); sister-in-law Frances Hillbom (Rick); and brother-in-law Johnny D’Agostino (Mary); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
Dave’s family will welcome all to a visitation on Thursday June 22nd, 2023 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday June 23rd, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 3530 Auburn Road in downtown Auburn Hills, Michigan.
