This is the night we would ask, "What are you going as to VanBeckums?" Miss you Peter

l knew Peter as a friend of his Auburn Community when l was active in Old Town Auburn.  He was always the first one to offer help and one year during an Easter Event,  he was our Easter Bunny greeting the little kids. 
I'm sorry he passed but didn't know. He was a good Soul and a good friend.

Today is Peter’s birthday. It’s certainly not the same. I really miss him. I still have his photo as my Home Screen. I don’t seem to want to change it.

Happy Birthday Pete, from everyone in the family!

Pete - I’ve got your picture as my Home Screen. Every time someone calls me, for a split second I think it’s you. I sure miss you. It was great having brothers.

I am so saddened to just learn of Peter's passing. He was one of my first friends when I moved to Auburn over 10 years ago. His warm and welcoming personality are some of my fondest memories during this time of transition in my life. As the years went on, I only saw him a few times. However, I am so glad that I actually ran into him several times and was able to catch up with him while standing in line just a month or so before he passed away.

Pete must have had a bird’s eye view of this morning’s annular eclipse. This is the best I could do in Redwood City.

You were my very first friend when I moved to Auburn; what an amazing friend you were to me. Thank you for your friendship and wonderful memories. I'm going to really miss you.

Bryant.  This guy,  brother you have was a special person to me when I got to hang out with him. Special   fantastic amazing creative freee from rules experiences. He and I went to a debutante party and ball invited by Carol Wisnom of wisnoms hardware in San Mateo. 

We went as Keystone Cops and he and I made a Police car out of my Grandfathers 1953 Mercury with finger paint and a red light he had so we could pull up authentic at Burlingame Country Club.     And then there are the Epic Hallowed weens Parties you and he and Bill put together that if   you missed it you MISSED IT!!!    Then it’s the Madd Brothers…well music is my passion…going to  see some.    And after the debutante party he and I showed up at The Hall in Burlingame and who but Greg Kihn announced the Keystone cops had arrived for his gig there…Peters Idea. He got me in there when I was not 21 yet.  Also Mabuhay Gardens San Francisco…he was there and took me.       Amazing guy always engaging honestly to all. What a loss you have.  Something we all understand as we get older.    Peter will always be inspirational to me looking into his eyes of the picture…..     I am gonna see you when I get there Peter.

Pete - I’ll miss our talks about Science, the Solar System, the Universe, but most of all I miss you.

Young Peter enjoyed dressing up, too. This may have been for the Renaissance Faire. I actually think it was for an Annual Halloween Party.

You were always so much fun. Hope you continue on that way.
