Junette O'detta Gaydon passed away peacefully at home on May 1, 2020. She was born Junette (Janice) O'detta Shepherd on January 10, 1940 in Sacramento, CA to Joseph Alfred Shepherd and Dewella (Cross) Shepherd. She was their 12th child out of 13 children. She has 2 surviving siblings. Richard (Dick) Shepherd (Foresthill, CA) and Audrey Shepherd (Anchorage, AK). She marrried Leonard A. Gaydon in 1959 and later divorced. She leaves behind their surviving children, Judith (Carrier), Lynette (King), Karen (Hutsey-McFall) and Kristie (Conley). Her Grandchildren, James (Jimmie) Helling, Sarah and Jacob Hutsey, and Jannis and Renee’ Carrier. Great-Grandchildren, Alexis and Cora Helling, Lillian Carlson and Noah Hutsey. She had one employer her whole life as school secretary with Placer County School District for 32 years then retired at Rock Creek Elementary. She started as a volunteer at Alta Vista and belonged to PTA, 20-30 club and the Model T club. She lived her entire life in Auburn and there wasn't a child or parent that didn't know "Mrs. G". During summer break she loved to travel and go to the ocean anywhere on the "PCH" and spend as much time as she could with her Grandchildren. She touched many life’s and she will be fondly remembered by many. Rest in peace, we will love you always.
