Charles Leroy Bloxham Jr.

Charles “Buddy” Bloxham, JR., born February 21, 1951 in California, entered into rest on October 18, 2022 in Auburn, California. His family expressed their father may not of wanted a memorial and let his passing be a silent peace, for them to mourn privately; as their father wanted for his wife, Teri Bloxham’s passing on October 2018…. But as many knew, Buddy’s true nature was anything but small, silent or peaceful. From birth Buddy Bloxham was a big deal!

From being the rebellious youngster at Lincoln Way, riding motorcycles, racing for pink slips down 49; Buddy pushed the limits of the law at every turn and new venture he explored. With all the shenanigans, and “Boys will be boys” characteristics, Buddy did grow up to do what every young cowboy dreamed of doing; Shoot outs in the middle of town with Bad Company. Driving and restoring historical vehicles with The Native Sons of the Golden West. Hunted and Fished throughout the US; several times on horseback. And let’s not forget when he rode his horse into the Shanghai for one last round. He was a modern-day outlaw, born a hundred years past his time!

Buddy was truly inspired by the True West; taking up old west hobbies such as guns, hunting and restoring history. Buddy was proud that The Bloxham name has been a staple name throughout The Town of Auburn for over 100 years and Buddy finetuned the family name with his contagious sense of humor and overall huge personality; all the while capturing everyone’s attentions with his stories and “Buddyisums”.

As Buddy gracefully moved into retirement after leaving NorCal Beverage; his place of employment for 30years, Buddy enjoyed having a cigar, spend time with his dog tilly, and having a beer swapping stories about the good ol’ days with his lifelong friends at the Moose Lodge and California Club.

And last but defiantly not least, Buddy loved having his biggest fan and strongest supporter by his side at all times; “His beautiful bride” Teri Bloxham. As many witnessed, every day was a struggle for Buddy after losing Teri. The bold statement was made, “There was no Buddy without Teri!” Buddy can now rest peacefully with his lovely bride of 50 years at his side. Both Buddy and Teri were greatly loved and will be sorely missed.

Buddy is survived by his son Charles L Bloxham lll (Heather), daughter Nikole Lyn Valenzuela, grand- daughters Ashlie, Samantha, Myranda. Buddy is preceded in death by his wife Teri, his father Charles L Bloxham, Sr. and mother Thelma Bloxham. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to SPCA or Ohana, Child Mental Health Programs at Montage Health. Services may be held at a later date.
