Ronald J. Shoup

Ronald J. Shoup (77) of rural Attica, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at his home. He was born June 5, 1936 in Willard to the late Wilbur E. and Ethel I. (Dean) Shoup. Mr. Shoup was a graduate of Attica High School, class of 1954. He was a veteran of the Army Airborne and was a test engineer at National Machinery and farmed. Mr. Shoup was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and enjoyed golfing, antique tractors, attending grandchildren’s sporting events, fishing and being outdoors.

Mr. Shoup is survived by his wife Barbara A. (Pridgen) Shoup who he married May 28, 1955, son: Eric D. Shoup of Republic, 4 daughters: Victoria L. (Edward) Willman of Attica, Valerie L. Krombach of Tiffin, Rhonda R. (Greg) Martin of Attica and Robin A. (Todd) Anderson of Perrysburg. 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Brother: Curtis Shoup of Attica, and 2 sisters: Georgia Haines Scheid of Huron and Cynthia Shoup of CA.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM. Friday, December 6, 2013 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Attica with Pastor Edward Hunker officiating. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 P.M. at Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica. Burial will be in the Attica-Venice Twp Cemetery, Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Stein Hospice or American Kidney Foundation through the funeral home.
