Troy Marion Payne know to his family as “Marion” was born April 19, 1957 and passed away February 20, 2021 in Ashville, AL. Marion was a native of Ashville and started working as a mechanic at his Dad’s shop, Payne Auto Repair and Wrecker Service alongside his uncle Ray Payne. He was an extremely talented mechanic and worked on older and classic cars. Many people said he forgot more about mechanic work than most people ever knew. He had a kind and loving heart and wanted to be a friend to everyone he met.
Marion was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Caius and O’dell Payne of Ashville; maternal grandparents, Ottis Milam and Grace Milam of Ashville; parents, Troy Payne and Lamerle Payne. He is survived by his daughter, Amberlee Hart; grandson, Alexander Hart; sisters, Janice Tompkins, Debbie Payne; niece, Amy (Derrick) Heckman; nephew, Stephen Payne.
