It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph N. Davis announces his sudden passing on Tuesday, November 28th, 2023 from stage 4 lung cancer. A Graveside service will be held at Gallant Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 2:00 pm.
Joseph “Nick” Davis was originally from Akron, Ohio and moved to Alabama in the 1970s where he met his wife Kathy. They were happily married for 34 years and had two daughters who were their whole world. Nick was a wonderful dotting husband and a loving and devoted father. His favorite title was Pawpaw and he loved his grandchildren more than world. He never met a stranger and could make anyone laugh. He will be dearly missed.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Hollie Davis; parents, Alfred H. Davis and Ramona M. Davis; and grandparents, Charlie and Goldie Young and Charlie and Emma Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Davis; daughter, Kassi Roberts; son in law, Paul Roberts; grandchildren, Kainan (Bri) Roberts, Jude Roberts, Gabe Roberts, Maddie Roberts, and Nykklas Walker; brother, Tony Davis; chosen parents, Pam and Cliff Akins; nieces, nephews and many loved ones.
Pallbearers are Brian Akins, Kelly Milam, Greg Alred, Jason Durham, and Shane Sanford.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Pro Health Hospice and our wonderful hospice nurses, Miranda and Kelly; and Dr. Roden who went above and beyond in the level of care given. To Aleigh, Dalton, Missy, Tanya, Kris, Marla and Natalie who provided us with phenomenal care and compassion while at Gadsden Regional; and to all the techs and kind employees we encountered.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.morganfuneralchapel.com for the Davis Family.
