Services will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 22, 2024. Visitation will be from 1pm until the time of the Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial will follow at Williams Southside Memorial Park. Ron,Kris and Michael Catoe will officiate.
Harold was born April 30, 1933, in Camden, SC to W.B. and Sadie Catoe. He received his education in Camden, SC. and graduated from Community High School. He later received a Bachelor of Ministry degree and a Master of Theology degree from International Bible College and Seminary.
He began his ministry at an early age, with his young wife, Yvonne, right by his side. He was an ordained Bishop in the Church of God and Yvonne was a Bible teacher and Ladies Ministry speaker. They pastored churches in South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and preached revivals across the nation, and in other countries where they both ministered God's word.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.B. and Sadie Catoe; sister, Mary Lou Moen, of El Cajon, CA; his darling wife, Lesta Yvonne; and son-in-law, Ronnie Cooper.
Survivors include his sons, Rev. Ronald Dean Catoe (Jan), of Gadsden, AL, Robert Burrell Catoe (Tess), of Camden, SC, and daughter, Lesta Jean Cooper (Ronnie), of Lugoff, SC; grandchildren, Kris Catoe, of Gadsden, AL, Michael Catoe, of Lawrenceburg, TN, Robert Catoe, Preston Catoe, Joshua Catoe, and Elyse Cooper Lemonds, of Lugoff, SC. and their families; 26 wonderful great-grandchildren; sister, Rev. Jane Marie Long, of Columbia, SC, and her daughter, Jill of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Pallbearers are Rev. Catoe’s family and friends.
Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
