Eva Janet Smith

Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 1, 2024, for family and friends, at Mt. Lebanon Church Cemetery, Chandler Mountain. Reverend Ricky Smith will officiate.

Mrs. Smith was a loving mother and grandmother. She is a member of Mt. Lebanon Church. She shared 67 years of marriage with her husband, James Rayburn Smith. She was a generational farmer and established Rayburn Smith Farms, where she gained many friends over the years. Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling with friends and family, loved hosting fish fries and a good Rook game. She loved going to yard sales and had many antique collections. She could often be found at the bingo hall with a winning card.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Hershel and Lois Smith; her siblings, Kay Battles (Floyd),

Ila Hooper (Tom), Junior Smith (Iris); and brother-in-law, Donnie Williams.

She leaves behind her sons, Jeffery Wayne Smith (Theresa), and Phillip Darrell Smith (Melinda) of Steele; grandchildren, Shree Miller (Eric), Brian Alexander (Kim), Shaunda Smith and Stephanie Smith; great grandchildren, Carter Pardue, Blaid Williamson, Mia Miller, Ivan Payne, Brady Alexander, and Lynlee Miller; sister, Jackie Williams; chosen brothers, Wayne Finley (Pam) and Rickey Finley (Debbie); and a host of nieces and nephews.

The following will serve as pallbearers: Eric Miller, Brian Alexander, Carter Pardue, Blaid Williamson, Ivan Payne, and Brady Alexander.

The family wishes heartfelt thanks to the nurses, doctors, and staff of Enhabit Hospice. A special thank you to our friend and caregiver, Tina Simmons.
