Carolyn Walker Hutchens

Visitation will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel, Attalla, on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Ed Simmons and Pastor Clay Spears to officiate.

Carolyn was born in Altoona, Alabama. She attended Altoona High School. In 1979, she finished school for Cosmetology and became the founder/owner of Personal Touch Salon, for 35 years. She loved her Lord, going to church, working in her flower garden and spending time with her children and family.

Preceded in death by her parents, Walter Golden & Zelma Golden; her husband of 35 years, Robert L. Walker; her sister, Francis Bowman; her brothers, Frank Golden and “Freddy” Daniel Golden; and brother-in-law, Lynn Thompson;

Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband, Wade Hutchens; her sons, Steven Tate, James Tate, John (Marcia) Tate, Daron (Jamie) Walker, and Darel (Amy) Walker; step-children, John (Teresa) Hutchens, Nedra (Rickey) Graves, Daniel (Teresa) Hutchens, James (Amy) Hutchens, and Jacob (Catie) Hutchens; sister, Vera Thompson; brothers, Pete (Audrey) Golden, and James (Wilda) Golden; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; thirteen step-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; along with her beloved dog, Drew.

Pallbearers are Noah Tate, Rodney Golden, Greg Thompson, Joel Bowman, Phillip Golden, Kyle Amos, Chris Golden and Jacob Tate.

Morgan Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
