

A Memorial service to honor his life will be held at Morgan Funeral Chapel on March 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM with visitation prior to the service at 12:00 PM in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Williams-Southside Memorial Park. Reverend Johnny Pruitt will officiate.
A man of deep faith, Bobby was a devoted Christian who spent his life serving others with love and compassion. His love for music was evident throughout his life, particularly in his role as a singer in a gospel trio, where his soulful voice brought joy and inspiration to many.
He was a true enthusiast of classic cars, and his passion for vintage automobiles was a hallmark of his character, reflecting his appreciation for craftsmanship and timeless beauty.
Bobby was married to his beloved wife, Shirley, for 55 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and faith. He was a loving father to his son Mike, and devoted grandfather, whose family was always the center of his world.
Bobby will be remembered for his kindness, his unwavering faith, and his ability to bring light into the lives of everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on through his family, his music, and the many lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his parents, JC and Lorene Ruple; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jerry Wimpee Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ruple; son, Mike Ruple; grandchildren, Julie (Ross) Ayers, Jessica Ruple, Colton (Amber) Ruple; two great grandchildren, Ethan Evett and Emma Evett; sister, Gloria (Allan) Miller; special nephew, Jerry (Amanda) Wimpee Jr.; niece, Stacy (Rodney) Hart; sister-in-law, Rita White; and brother-in-law, Gary White.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Wimpee Jr., Christopher Wimpee, Colton Ruple, Ethan Evett, Ross Ayers, and Will Hart.
