Sharon Hagan Bowman, of Atlanta, died suddenly Friday, March 26, 2010. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Lloyd, the central joy of her life; her loving sisters: Leslie Creswell and Rosemary Handy; brother, Bob Hagan; Jeffrey’s father, Craig Bowman; and many nephews and nieces. She was born in Rochester, NY, April 22, 1957 to Robert Hagan and Shirley Nickols Fahey. Sharon had many close friends through life and work and was loved by anyone she met for her sincerity, grace, and unbounded kindness. She was also fiercely determined, independent, and dedicated to the things she cared about. She loved her son and family, children, the outdoors, dining with friends, traveling, music, and her co-workers at SAIC. She moved from her childhood home in Arizona and had spent the last 30 years in Atlanta.
A visitation will be held at 12 o’clock p.m. on Friday, April 2nd at H.M. Patterson & Son, Spring Hill, with a memorial service to follow at 1 o’clock p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Western Carolina University Foundation, where her son, Jeff, plays in the marching band and orchestra.
