Ruby Brown Swanson

She was the daughter of the late Vaughn and Etna Brown. She was a homemaker and an in-home daycare provider for many children. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, and working outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her husband of 30 years, James Ray Swanson; daughter, Angela Swanson Fielding; one grandson, Joshua Andrew Fielding; son-in-law, Peter Charles Knapp; sisters, Lassie Brown, Hubbie Henson, Betty Maney; and brother, Robert Brown.

Surviving are her daughter, Cathy Swanson Knapp of Marietta, GA, sons, Jerry Dale Swanson and wife Tammy, of Dacula, GA and David Ray Swanson and wife Sherry, of Hoschton, GA; sister, Faye Dotson, of Cornelia, GA; 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at H.M. Patterson & Son- Oglethorpe Hill Chapel. Dr. Victor Ray Bledsoe will officiate. Burial will be at Lilburn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Gary Maney, Jerry Isaac, Christian Mendoza, Tristan Mendoza, Kadyn Allen, and Keith Maney.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at H.M. Patterson & Son- Oglethorpe Hill Chapel prior to the funeral services.
