Lucinda (Cindy) Marie Cochran Kneisel

Cindy Cochran was born on June 12th, 1951, to Jane and Merle Cochran in Cuyahoga, Falls, Ohio. She completed her undergraduate studies at Bowling Green University after graduating from Cuyahoga Falls High School. She received her Master’s degree from Georgia State University. She worked with children in the Dekalb County School System as a Speech and Language Pathologist. Cindy had a lifelong love for animals and never met an animal she would not take in and care for, including seven infant raccoons. She had a positive outlook on life, always saw the best in others, and was a constant source of inspiration. Cindy enjoyed assisting others and was a terrific listener. She valued family more than anything else in her life. Cindy cherished her two grandchildren as well as her three children. She had the good fortune to have known Grayson, her grandson, the longest and would refer to him as her best friend. She was incredibly inventive and would prepare the nicest dishes and decorations for every holiday to make the occasion even more memorable. She cherished her Irish roots and would serve corned beef and cabbage every year on St. Patrick's Day while listening to Irish jigs. Cindy was a social butterfly who loved going out to eat with her girlfriends. All of her kids' friends recognized her as the conventional mother who was also constantly encouraging and kind. For 45 years, Cindy lived in the Ashford Park neighborhood. On Halloween, children would recognize Cindy's home as the one with the large candy bars. She had a huge front yard where she would have parties where people would play yard games like corn hole or other outdoor games to bond and have fun. Cindy was a kindhearted person who will always be remembered for her generous nature.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents Jane Adeline Doak Cochran (May 27, 1921- February 2nd, 2008) and Merle Clair Cochran (June 26th, 1919- August 20th, 1995) and her older sister Rebecca Jane Cochran (June 27, 1949- April 25, 2010).

Cindy is survived by her son Brett Alan Kneisel and his wife Kelli Sikes Kneisel, her daughter Jennifer Marie Campbell and her husband Jonathon Alexander Campbell and her daughter Kathryn Ann Kneisel, her sister Merlane Sue Fuller, her grandson Grayson Asher Kneisel, and her granddaughter Elena Marie Campbell.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 24th, 2022 at H.M. Patterson and Son- Oglethorpe Hill Chapel with the Rev. Julie Wright of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, officiating. Reception to follow at the Kneisel home. Arrangements are by H.M. Patterson and Son.
