Judy Roberts Walker, age 74, of Fort Valley, GA, died peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. Judy was born in Atlanta, GA on October 17, 1942, to the late Ernest and Mildred Roberts. Judy graduated from Headland High School in 1960 and earned the degree of Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia, where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She received a Master of Arts in Business Education from Northern Michigan University in Ann Arbor. Judy lived in Signal Mtn., TN for many years where she was a member of St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church. Judy worked at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and she worked in the education field for many years in Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia. She retired in 2017 from Taylor County High School where she was the Business and Technology teacher since 2003. She was active at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Fort Valley.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Grayson H. Walker. She is survived by her daughters, Carrie Walker of Nashville, and Caty Coffey (Ryan), of Brandon, MS, and her brother, Steve Roberts, of Orlando, FL.
A graveside funeral service is scheduled for Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2:00pm at Westview Cemetery, 1680 Westview Drive SW, Atlanta, GA, 30310.
