Johnny Lee Burnette, Sr., age 67, of Atlanta, GA, passed away on November 30, 2015. He was a generous, hardworking, loyal and devoted son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, nephew, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Johnny is survived by his loving mother, Annie Burnette, and two children: Shonda Lynn Burnette and Johnny Lee Burnette, Jr; six grandchildren: Jennifer Lynn Petty, Anna Marie Petty, Emilie Grace Petty, Johnny Lee Burnette III “Trey”, Tyler Alan Burnette, and Travis Michael Burnette; and three great-grandchildren: Adam Harper Guedes, Jackson Oliver Guedes and Dakota Elizabeth Mann; and daughter in-law Kathy Burnette. He is preceded in death by his father Morris Burnette and his brother Alan Morris Burnette. Johnny was born in Toccoa, GA and raised in Chamblee, GA and attended Cross Keys High School in Atlanta, GA. He Owned and Operated Burnette Tree Service for over 40 years. Johnny loved the water, boating and fishing. He had a houseboat at Lake Lanier for 30 years and made many friends there. He coached his son in little league baseball in Chamblee, GA. He enjoyed spending time on the lake with family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A family and friends visitation will be held from 6-9 on Friday, December 11, 2015 and a memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill Chapel 4550 Peachtree Road NE Atlanta, GA 30319.
