Atticus "Rick" Allen Richardson III

Atticus Allen “Rick” Richardson III, 57, passed away of a massive stroke Friday, November 14, 2014 at 5:35pm. Rick was a former 4th District Republican Party Chairman and former Chairman of the Georgia State Young Republicans. Rick worked for the Fulton County Republican Party then transitioned to the Georgia Republican Party where he worked until the time of his passing. “Georgia Republicans mourn the loss today of Rick Richardson”, said Georgia Republican Party Chairman John Padgett. “A trusted friend and confidant, Rick was the glue that held the State Party together. As employees and Chairman came and went, Rick was steadfast. His commitment was contagious. Rick’s jovial spirit endured during good times & bad. His work ethic was unmatched. Our dear friend Rick will be sorely missed…We consider ourselves blessed to have known Rick and have the utmost confidence that his legacy of service will live on for many years to come.” Rick was a founding member of Christian Church of Buckhead. He is survived by his mother, Willie Richardson; sister, Leigh Richardson; grandson, Rhett Zachry Richardson and numerous cousins. The family will receive friends at H.M. Patterson & Son Oglethorpe Hill on Sunday from 4-8 PM and Monday from 2-6 PM. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
