A native of Atlanta, GA, Mr. Taylor was the son of the late Marion Edward Taylor Sr and Fannie Mae Sisk Taylor. He served in the United States Navy during World War II where he was stationed at the Northern Pacific Theater. Mr. Taylor was a retired insurance adjuster and a member of First Baptist Church of Athens.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Margaret Lambert Taylor; sons, John Taylor and wife, Caroline of Social Circle and Bill Taylor and wife, Susan of Charlotte, NC; daughter, Missy Parker and husband, Bill of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, John Taylor, Lara McLean, Matthew Taylor, Jason Taylor, Mark Taylor, Abigail Taylor, Kate Taylor, Will Parker, Brent Parker, and Katherine Parker, and great-grandchildren, Madeline and Amelia McLean and Austin and Caleb Taylor.
Funeral services will be held 1PM Friday, September 28th in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home with Dr. Paul Baxley and Dr. Jon Appleton officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8PM Thursday, September 27th at Bernstein.
The grandsons will serve as pallbearers and the granddaughters will serve as honorary pallbearers.
