Faye Kemp

Georgia. She was born on June 11, 1948 in Albany, Georgia to Benjamin

Max and Helen Cliett Rickett. She lived the majority of her childhood in

Perry, Georgia.

Faye was a real estate professional for more than 45 years. She began her

real estate career in Athens, Georgia at Hutchins, Cox, Stroud and

Pierson. Then, in 1975, she opened her own firm, Heritage House

Realtors, with the late William L. (Bill) Kemp, II. In 1986, Faye bought

a Re/Max franchise and opened Re/Max Associates of Athens. During

her long career, she served on a variety of community boards and won

many awards from the Athens Area Association of Realtors. In addition

to her real estate business, Faye was a partner in Crown Auction Inc. with

the late Dan J. Jackson.

Faye is survived by Aunts Cliett Hayes of Perry; Carol (BJ) Cliett of

Jacksonville, FL; Margaret Rickett of Moultrie, GA; her cousins Randy

(Amy) Rickett of Sylvester, GA; Todd (Amy) Locke of Millington, TN;

Terry Hayes and Brian Hayes of Perry, GA; Vicki Hachett of Tybee

Island, GA; Shelia Warner of Bluefield, WV; Julie Cliett Hilgendorf of

Jacksonville, FL; Jonathan Hayes of Atlanta, GA; and Shelly (Hayes)

Felkey of Hoschton, GA. She is also survived by William L. (Robin)

Kemp, II of Carlsbad, CA; Brian P. (Marty) Kemp of Athens, GA; and

Julie Kemp (Rocky) Rief of Atlanta, GA. A memorial service is

scheduled at Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, GA, on Friday, January

30, 2015 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers and should friends desire,

memorial contributions may be sent to the Athens Area Humane Society.
