She was born January 28, 1956 and was a daughter of the late Kirby Cody Cotton and Marjorie Mewborn Cotton.
Cody was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her two fur babies, Trevor and Fonzi.
In addition to her parents Cody is preceded in death by her husband, John P. Hicks.
Survivors include her son, Timothy Ridgway and his wife, Michelle McClure; a sister, Marjorie Claire Cotton Thomas and her husband, John Thomas.
A Celebration of Cody's Life will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Sandy Creek Park, 400 Bob Holman Rd., Athens, GA 30607, at picnic shelter #4. Reception to immediately follow.
