Julia Diane Seay

Mrs. Seay was born March 23, 1951, in Morgan County, AL, to Chisolm Cottles and Flora Phillips Cottles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ben Seay of 38 years, five siblings Delbert Cottles, Charles Cottles, Faye Bumpus, Dearl Cottles, and Ray Cottles.

Julia was a member of Light House Baptist Church. She loved to read, excellent caregiver to many family members. She loved listening to her gospel music, especially on Sunday mornings while drinking her coffee.

Mrs. Seay is survived by three children Jason Haggard (Melissa), Chae Jones (Michael) and Denise Cowan (Danny), one brother Ronnie Cottles (Belinda), two sisters Linda Sanders (Cecil), and Connie Hilliard (Jimmy), two grandchildren Christian Stapleton, and Megan Emerson, one great grandchild Carson Cluxton, and her two cats, Blackie and Miss Kitty.

Visitation will be Saturday October 12, 2024, at McConnell Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 P.M.

Funeral Service will be Saturday October 12, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at McConnell Memorial Chapel with Tommy Crews officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hilliard, Billy Amerson, Casey Amerson, Michael Jones, Cary Jones, and Wyatt Jones.

Burial will be in Corum Cemetery in Lexington, AL.
