Joyce Holland Layman

Pallbearers will be Dewitt Burns, Jimmy Blanton, Don Entrekin, Lee Schwan, George Adams, and Clay Sherrill.

Mrs. Layman passed away on Wednesday August 5, 2020 at her residence.

She was born August 23, 1925 in Limestone County, AL to Ernest Holland, Sr, and Mayflower Elliotte Holland.

Mrs. Layman is preceded in death by her parents, and husbands George Sandlin Swanner, and Maynard Layman, three sisters Katherine Mabry, Marcella Burns, Dorothy Holland, two brothers Ernest Holland, Jr., and Elliott Holland.

She was a member of Athens First United Methodist Church; Mrs. Layman worked as a bookkeeper for Hendrix Patton Furniture for 69 years.

She is survived by five nieces Kaye Adams, Katherine Boissier, Susie McCutcheon, June Mauser, Ann Entrekin, two nephews Dewitt Burns and Steve Holland.
