Charlotte Ann Haney

Visitation will be Tuesday March 27, 2018 from 6-9 P.M. at McConnell Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

She passed away on March 25, 2018 at Limestone Health Facility.

Charlotte was born January 4, 1939 in Athens, AL to Mr. and Mrs. Orland Hasting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Shirley Haney, and one brother Morris Hasting.

Mrs.Haney was a devoted wife, loving mother, homemaker, care giver to her husband, excellent cook, vegetable gardener, seamstress, member of Tanner United Methodist Church and a beloved Granny to her four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She enjoyed, weekly domino games with her beloved “Golden Girls” Bettye Kelly, Reda Hasting, (sister in law) and Sherry Mitchell (sister).

She taught everyone she met something, be it a way to sew a stitch, can vegetables, bake bread, or drive a motorhome pulling a tractor.

She lived with an unbelievable strength. She was positively resilient, inspiring, faithful, loyal, joyful, and talented. Her children rise up and call her blessed.

She is survived by her one son Barry Keith Haney and wife Sonda of Athens, AL; one daughter Vicki Haney Lawson and husband Grover of Sardis, MS; one sister Sherry Mitchell of Athens, AL; four grandchildren Hannah Lawson Peters and husband Ben of Huntsville, AL; Cody Haney and wife Tiffinee of Athens, AL; Julie Lawson King and husband Jason of Birmingham, AL; Skyler Lawson of Sardis, MS; three great grandchildren Olivia Charlotte Peters; Peyton Harper Haney, Benjamin Lawson Peters.

Pallbearers will be Cody Haney, Skyler Lawson, Matt Haney, Wilson Haney, Ben Peters and Jason King.

Honorary Pallbearers James Paul Schrimsher, Evan Haney, Preston Haney, Spencer Dowland, and Darrell Norman.
