The family of Jane Clark is saddened to announce her sudden passing in Moose Jaw, SK. Jane (Schnor) was born on July 19, 1935 in Assiniboia, SK. Jane was predeceased by her husband Bob (2005); infant daughter Wendy (1955); parents Clarence and Evelyn Schnor and brother Art Schnor. Jane is survived by her two sons, Randy (Sandy), Bevon (Yvette); grandchildren, Robert, Crystina (Corrado), Daniel (Shandel), Christopher (Jody), Patrick (Leah); great-grandchildren, Taylor, Rhyanna, Brett, Jacob, Jaya, Tenley, Dilyn, Carter, Alexis, Ethan, Tegan and Norah; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special family members. Jane grew up in the Little Woody District attending Little Woody School. She made and maintained many good friends from her childhood, always making the effort to keep in touch. Jane worked for a short time at Kresge’s in Moose Jaw before she met the love of her life, Bob Clark from Coronach. Bob and Jane married on October 12, 1954 and settled on the Schnor family farm where Bob worked alongside Jane’s dad and brother. Bob and Jane lost their first child Wendy at 19 days old. It was a heartbreak Jane never got over. Together Bob and Jane raised their two sons Randy and Bevon on the family farm. Jane was very community minded, she was a life time member of the Kinette Club in Rockglen and she enjoyed working at various fundraisers, always ready with a pie in hand for the bake sale. Jane’s fondest memories of Kinettes came from the years they worked at Telemiracle. She made sure to watch it every year and always donated. You could count on Bob and Jane to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors in need. Jane loved visiting with friends and playing cards, she had a very competitive side which we are sure anyone who has played a game or two with her can attest to. Bob and Jane retired to Rockglen in 1988 where Jane expanded her circle of friends to include coffee row at the local café and the New Horizons Drop-in Centre. She loved to visit with the young farmers, always interested in the new methods and machinery they talked about. They enjoyed her company too; often bantering back and forth with good natured teasing. Bob and Jane enjoyed their retirement years keeping up with their grandchildren. Jane loved preparing their favourite meals and baked goods. No one ever went hungry at Grandma Jane’s house. She loved to bake goody packages for them to take home, always with the warning to bring the container back or you wouldn’t get any more next time. A visit at Grandma’s usually included a trip to the local café where she would introduce them to everyone there. She was so proud of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As Bob’s Alzheimer’s progressed, it was another heartbreak for Jane, as she accepted that she could no longer care for Bob at home. Jane visited Bob 2 or 3 times a day at the Grasslands Health Centre for 4 years until his passing in 2005. Jane continued to visit the other residents of Grasslands until 2015 when she moved to Eastside Court in Assiniboia. Jane loved to entertain them by playing cards or helping with special occasions. In Assiniboia, Jane soon made a new circle of friends while still maintaining contact with her old friends in Rockglen. Jane was able to rejoin Eastern Star and commented on how she enjoyed going to meetings again. Jane also became a member at Club 55, loved meeting new people and was truly interested in who they were and where they came from. Usually after a few minutes she could find that common bond she had with them and never forgot the slightest detail. Funeral service was held on Monday, June 4, 2018 in Assiniboia with Reverend Marilyn Leuty officiating. Honour Guard and service by the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #8. Interment was at the Little Woody Cemetery where she was buried next to Bob; Jane’s ashes are laid to rest in an urn built by her son Bevon. Eulogy was given by granddaughter, Crystina Lao and daughter-in-law Sandra Clark. Urn bearer was grandson Robert. Musical selections were beautifully provided by Lois Marit, Rita Rondeau-Cain and Gerald Rondeau. Donations in memory of Jane may be made to Telemiracle.
