Virginia Lee Snead

Virginia Lee Snead, 78, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2016, after a long illness at Ashland Nursing & Rehabilitation Home. Gini graduated from Covington High School, Madison College, Harrisonburg, VA & received a Bachelor Degree in Social Work from Scarritt College, Nashville, TN. Gini was the daughter of the late Rev. Charles S & Pattie Snead. Preceding her in death are two brothers Thomas (Wimpy), of Cleveland, Ohio & Richard (Coose) Snead, Huntsville, AL. She is survived by four sisters, Betty Fitzgerald, Bumpass, VA; Nancy Church, Ronceverte, WV; Patricia (Pat) & Larry Whitmer, Covington; Mildred (Mickie) & (Rev. John) Rhodenizer, Roanoke. She is also survived by three brothers Charles (Buddy) & (Jeannie), Huntsville, AL; Bernard Snead, Elkton, MD & Ralph & (Patsy) Snead of Covington. Her body has been cremated and a memorial service will be conducted at a later date at Duncan Memorial Methodist Church of which she was a member in Ashland, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Mental Health Charity or charity of your choice.
