Mike loved to hunt and fish and loved the ocean. He raised one of the prettiest gardens and would give the fruit of his labor to family, friends, and neighbors; this brought him much joy seeing people enjoying what he had planted. He was the most generous man and believed in helping others. His friendship, the way he gave to others, his kindness, and that smile brought happiness to everyone, he was a genuine man. Mike loved and cared for all animals; any stray that came to the house became a pet. His beloved dog Raven passed away recently, and he would say “She is waiting for me”. Mike’s work ethic was amazing, he worked hard, and his work was appreciated by the people he worked for. He took great pride in everything he did. He owned his own business for many years and stepped back to care for his Mother and Father. His faith and love for his family and Church was unwavering. He was a loyal and honest man and the most amazing husband. His wife always told him she was the luckiest person, he chose her, he was her better half. Mike will be deeply missed, and his memory will be forever cherished.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the care and compassion that was shown to Mike. Pastor Rhonda Krueger with Crossroads Community Church, Dr. Erin Alesi, and the entire Oncology Department at the Massey Cancer Center, and the Nurses and Caregivers with the At Home Care & At Home Care Hospice.
