David Otto Watson III

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Ann Watson; father, Guy Wood Jr.; grandmother, Alice Virginia Sharpe; and grandfather, Berry Sharpe.

David was a skilled mechanic who dedicated many years to working with Mopar vehicles; he lent his skill and knowledge to anyone in need. He had a passion for football and was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys. David also enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a life long fan of Jeff Gordon. In his free time, he enjoyed playing pool, putting together model cars, and fishing.

He is survived by his loving mother, Susan Marie Wood; daughters, Jennifer Ann Bone (Justin) and Lisa Marie Watson; grandchildren, Liberty Ann Bone, Walker Ambler Bone, Kinley Jean Ann Felts, and Colton Otto Lane; and his beloved dog, Fido.

The family will receive friends from 10 am to 11 am on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 412 S. Washington Hwy. Ashland, VA 23005 where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Burial will follow at Kenwood United Methodist Church Cemetery in Ashland. There will be a potluck celebration of life after the graveside ceremony at 11045 Cauthorne Rd., Glen Allen, VA 23059.
