Dave was a unique person.  I worked with him for several years at CapTech.  Dave brought a true engineering approach to software development, which is somewhat rare.  He was well-respected by colleagues and clients.
On the personal side, Dave was a man of many interests and talents, and sometimes surprising tastes.  I remember working with Dave in a large room with several developers, and Dave volunteered to provide the background music.  I admit I was somewhat surprised when he started playing an ABBA tune.  Initially, Dave did not strike me as somewhat who would like the 70's Swedish pop group, but he was unabashed in his opinions, yet sensitive enough to make sure everyone new he would skip that band if it offended anyone's musical  taste.

I'm so sorry to hear that David has passed. I sat with him back at CapTech in the office and he was always a great person to have in the room with us. We never had a day without good food or good conversation. David was a man of wisdom and cheer. He was the best not-exactly-a-boss I ever had.

On Sunday, we were at the Richmond Highland Games when Dave passed away. Having no idea of his condition, I told my wife we ought to head over to the Scottish History tent to find Tiller. He'd be there as always, of course. My wife knew Tiller exclusively from seeing him at the Highland Games. For me, this was only a bonus: yet another great facet of a complex guy.

And he will be there. Always. Dave was a force and remains one. I am very saddened by his immediate loss. But he is a lesson and a force for good that will live on a good while, and for more people than he and his wife might ever expect.

Please accept our deepest condolences for the loss of your husband David. Though words cannot ease your grief, I hope you may find some comfort in knowing the light of his spirit will remain with you always.

In this time of sorrow, may you be surrounded by the warmth of family and friends to help sustain you. Take things slowly, giving yourself room to mourn and heal through your pain. Hold close every precious memory that, in quiet moments, will surely bring a smile amid the tears.

David's life speaks through who you are - your shared hopes, dreams, and moments of joy now dwelling forever in your heart. Even death cannot erase such powerful bonds or the impact he made in this world.

You need not face this alone - others who care are ready to lift you up now and always. May comfort find you, as you honor David's memory through your own days.

Danny, Our hearts hurt for you and your loss.  But, he is up there with the King Of Kings, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.  And he is in no pain.....and enjoying family,  friends, and perhaps noteworthy people from history.

May God give you comfort and strength during this difficult time.

Dave shared so much with me and we truly enjoyed each other's company.  I can't name a person that knew more about so many different things. Nor can I name a person with as big a heart. He never turned down an opportunity to help someone - and he had the know how and skills to get the job done, from changing a tire or fixing a faucet to engineering microelectronics. Some of my favorite things we shared were programming, music, MST3K, science, barbecue and fishing. Some hobbies Dave shared with me that I now love were making my own bacon and charcuterie, HAM radio, drag racing, Dune and David Lynch just to name a few.

May the memory of David bring you comfort and peace today and always. My heart is with you in your time of sorrow. Wishing you peace and strength during this difficult time. David was always a best friend to me and we shared many good times. I will remember him for all the joyful times we had together.  God Bless!
